About K-9 Angels

The Charity was founded in 2012 by three media personalities: Singer Pola Popieszalska; former model and ethical writer Victoria Featherstone Pearce and presenter Anneka Tanaka. Their vision was to relieve the suffering of animals worldwide, but particularly in Eastern Europe, Cyprus and Asia, with the main focus on dogs that have been abandoned, abused, stray, captured in shelters, or otherwise in need of care and protection. Anneka left the charity in 2014 and has since founded independent animal based projects, however Victoria and Pola remain active founders who are passionately committed to K-9 Angels and campaign to help save all animals from persecution and cruelty.

K-9 Angels help stray dogs around the world, as well as the UK, and have not only rehomed hundreds of dogs, but also funded aid for shelters, such as food, medical supplies and regular spay/neuter and vaccinate programmes.

In 2014 they helped to fund the first shelter for the dogs in Craiova, Romania. They continue to fundraise and rely totally on public donations to continue their vital work in helping the dogs and providing shelter food and veterinary care for homeless and helpless dogs and puppies.

POLA

Co-Founder

Director & Trustee

Role:  PR, Fostering and Fundraising

Pola Pospieszalska is a singer and songwriter, best known for her album ‘My Favourite Town’ and is also a vegan and an official VegfestUK blogger.

Pola became passionate about animal welfare after rehoming two adult dogs not wanted by their owners. Realising that there were many more dogs in the same predicament and that many of them would end up being put to sleep or used for dog fighting she aims to use her media presence to make a difference.

In addition, she fosters animals in need of forever homes and supports many animal charities. Her dream is to live in a world where people adopt dogs instead of breeding them or buying them from pet shops.
