We would like to say a HUGE thank you for sponsoring a door at Beta's Land Shelter - the dogs will be very pleased that the winter weather will be kept at bay!

It became apparent that the dogs needed to go out at night and the doors of the shelter were either closed due to the cold weather, which meant the dogs were upset they couldn't go into their runs, or the doors were open, meaning that the dogs were cold in the night time winter winds.

Dog doors were the perfect solution! We are delighted to say they are now fitted and everyone is very pleased. Oh, and the dogs 'helped' to fit the doors too!

LUCY SPONSORED BY GAYNOR CROWE AND PETE GELLING - THANK YOU! When Lucy was found, she had skin infections in both ears and all over her body. She had a broken leg, possibly as the result of a car accident, and needed an amputation and lots of vet treatments in order to recover. Now safe at Beta's Land with Aurelia!	VEVE FORMERLY SPONSORED BY SUE JOHNSON - THANK YOU! In 2018 Veve was hit by a car and taken to a shelter in a small village, almost dead. When she came to Red Panda the team noticed one of her eyes was almost gone and continuously weeping, so they had to have it removed and the area cleaned. They also noticed she was doubly incontinent. The X-rays showed some damage on the spleen. Eddie was rescued from the public shelter. Now fifteen he is a real golden oldie gentleman, who looked after Isobel until she passed away. Aurelia took her home and nursed her until she passed away surrounded by her friends and in her bed. Magda was rescued from Breasta Public Shelter. Aurelia saw this very weak and thin dog suffering from untreated hepatitis. A long treatment was necessary for her to get better. She enjoyed the sanctuary of Beta's Land.	DOROTHY SPONSORED BY DEB DAVIES - THANK YOU! Dorothy was threatened with euthanasia at the local public shelter. Aurelia took her from there and placed her safely in foster care. Found by Aurelia on the streets, she now has a place of sanctuary.

Discovered wandering in the street, Luke had a skin disease whose origin had not been discovered: despite various treatments, Aurelia was not able to cure him. Sadly he passed away in 2021... We were saddened to report the death of beautiful Isobel yesterday morning. The tumour returned very suddenly and had spread. RIP ISOBEL Isobel had such a sad story, she was saved from Breasta with her friend, Eddie. They were inseparable. Isobel was nervous and Eddie looked after her. Isobel had several surgeries after a botched spay in Breasta. She was lucky to be saved.
