Welcome everyone to our newsletter. We hope you are all keeping well during this very challenging year worldwide.

The team would like to express our gratitude to our regular donors and sponsors, we could not have managed without your help. Donations allowed us to provide food and medical treatments to our trusted rescuers for the dogs in their care during the current health crisis. The compassionate, loyal support and generosity with donations from all who have given for the dogs has been of even greater importance over the past few months during these unprecedented times of the Coronavirus pandemic, and the team would like to say thank you to each and every one of you.

An especial thanks goes to our regular monthly donors and sponsors, without you the dogs really would have suffered. Your wonderful support is invaluable, it enables us to send a constant flow of supplies and calculate how we can best provide help to those who need it most. You really are angels for the dogs in need!

We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to supporter Lulu Collins, who raised over £1000 through raffles and events held at ‘Two Sisters Beautique’ before lockdown.

Lulu’s donation enabled K-9 Angels to send 600kg of food to trusted rescuer Madalina during the very cold winter months.

Food sent to trusted independent rescuer Madalina

In June we asked for your help with our ‘Puppy Appeal’ for donations to support independent rescuer Alina of Street Dogs Saving Mission Bacau. Alina had over 50 pups in her care, and had run out of food, and only had bread left. As you can imagine this is an exceptional amount of mouths to feed. Due to you, our wonderful supporters who generously donated to the appeal, we were able to send a pallet of good quality food to Alina for her pups, plus some extra bags for the adult stray dogs she also feeds. Thank you all so much. Please continue to support us with donations for dogs like Alina’s pups through PayPal to donate@k-9angels.co.uk REF 'food'

Thank you also to supporter Hir Patel for a very generous donation. This allowed us to send additional food to rescuer Alina.

A great big thank you to Angela Hewitt, who during the lockdown took on the 2.6 challenge and danced non stop to 26 records, raising over £90 for the dogs.

Thank you to Angela - and Holly, we are sure she helped you with your dance challenge!

Also huge thanks to trustee Judy for everything she does for K-9 Angels, and her two beautiful adopted dogs Becci and Lara. They also participated in the 2.6 challenge. They were going to walk 2.6 miles, and follow 26 instructions. They achieved more than 6 miles, and completed a fantastic 38 instructions, raising ‘pawesome’ amount of over £200 with gift aid for the dogs. Well done ‘puppers’.

During the pandemic we were delighted to receive a wonderful donation from Dunkerton obedience Group (D.O.G.)

This Dog Club are an amazing support to us, and their £750 donation enabled us to provide food and veterinary care at a time when it was most needed.

Thank you to you all for your wonderful fundraising, we are so sorry that we couldn't meet this Spring but look forward to a reunion another time to talk about our work and to meet your wonderful dogs!

Dunkerton D.O.G. we love you, thank you for all your help!

Do you remember 'Supergran' Serena? The lady who is 68 years young, and walked 120 miles over 2 days and 2 nights non-stop to fundraise for the dogs in need last year? Well Serena is doing it again on the 28th September 2020 in Bury St Edmunds.

This time she will be walking a whopping 125 miles non-stop. This is a mega challenge, and we really appreciate Serena's gargantuan efforts to train and complete the walk in aid of K-9 Angels. Anyone wanting to donate can follow the link to Serena's Virgin Money Giving page HERE. Please follow our Facebook page for updates on Serena's progress in September.
