K-9 ANGELS at LONDON MARATHON 2018 A 'TAIL' OF HOPE!

April 23, 2018

Victoria writes: "22nd April 2018 saw the Virgin London Marathon 2018 and K-9 Angels were thrilled to have won a place in the charity ballot!

Our runner was a Romanian dog rescuer named Adrian Irimiea who we learnt about after reading his incredible story of how he met a stray dog while running an ultra marathon in the mountains in Romania, he later adopted & named the dog Ultra"

See Ultra's story here:

"Adrian cares for many stray dogs (around 30-40) so he was so happy when we asked him to run and raise funds for K-9 Angels. We have pledged to help with funds towards food for the dogs he cares for"

"Pola and I went along to cheer Adrian on. As we waited outside Buckingham palace (near the finish line) there was an incredible atmosphere. To see spectators cheering on struggling runners they didn’t even know was heart warming, and believe me when you are there it becomes second nature to do so. A truly amazing and spectacular day!"

"It was the hottest day too, 21.7C was highest recorded temperature in London for the Marathon since April 22, 2007 so it make a really tough task even harder!
Incredibly Adrian finished the race in 2 hours and 55 minutes, placing 481st out of 44,000 participants"

"We are still raising funds towards so we really would appreciate sponsorship & you sharing our story too.

A lot of organising and effort goes into all fundraising but for Adrian to come to the UK just to raise funds for dogs in desperate need I believe deserves special attention"

Adrian said ‘Dogs are so honest and kind, and only ask we love and care for them’

ALL funds raised go directly to help dogs, we are a charity run fully by volunteers.
